Academic Schedules and Calendars
Tutoring Options
- For peer tutoring – Peer Tutoring Location and Hours
- NOC faculty are available during office hours and by appointment.
- All NOC students have access to up to 300 minutes of free tutoring per semester through Tutor.com (the application – not the URL) via Blackboard.
Library Services
- Resources are available through the Enid and Tonkawa Libraries.
- Stillwater students have access to Edmon Low Library – OSU
- All NOC students have access to NOC Online Library Resources.
Bookstore
- Students can purchase books through NOC via NOC Bookstore. Purchases can be delivered to your doorstep.
- Textbooks and supplies can also be purchased at the Enid or Tonkawa Bookstores or the OSU Bookstore in Stillwater.

Online Classes
- Online courses are taught asynchronously through Blackboard, where instructors may post any of the following: course notes, class videos, assignment sheets, etc.
- Institutional attendance requirements are met by students submitting work and participating in online discussions.
- Students have deadlines throughout the course but do have some flexibility in when to access materials and complete assignments.
- Students do not typically interact with the instructor or other students in real time, but may use online tools such as the discussion board for online interaction and be asked to read and respond to classmates’ posts.
- Instructors are available via email for questions about course material.
- For lab science courses, all labs will be either virtual or “complete at home”.
- Technology needed: Computer with reliable WiFi
Hybrid Classes
- Hybrid courses are a combination of traditional course structure and online course structure.
- Courses meet at designated times for one class period on one of NOC’s campuses or via Online Line Live and also are taught through the Blackboard learning management site for the remaining time, where instructors may post any of the following: course notes, class videos, assignment sheets, etc.
- Institutional attendance requirements are met by students both attending class and submitting work and participating in online discussions.
- Students have deadlines throughout the course but do have some flexibility in when to access materials and complete assignments.
- Students will interact with the instructor or other students in real time, but will also use online tools, such as the discussion board for online interaction and be asked to read and respond to classmates’ posts.

Where Can I Find My Coursework?
NOC’s platform for online coursework is Blackboard.
Will I be required to take Proctored Exams?
All NOC online courses require at least one proctored exam or assignment to verify the identity of the learner enrolled, completing the work, and being given credit.
- A proctor can be found at any one of our campus sites – Tonkawa, Enid, Stillwater – at the University Center in Ponca City, or at any other higher education institution or private testing facility.

- If you use a testing site other than a Northern Oklahoma College site, you may be required to pay a fee, which is in addition to any tuition or fees paid to Northern Oklahoma College.
