- Utilize the Focus 2 career assessment tool to align your personal attributes with your personal and academic goals
- Enroll in World of Work next semester to learn more about yourself and what majors/careers are good matches for you
Do you plan to enter the workforce immediately after completing your degree at NOC or transfer to a 4-year school to pursue a bachelor’s degree? Knowing the answer to that question can help you choose the degree program that best aligns with your goals for the future.
Northern Oklahoma College offers two types of degrees: (1) Associate in Arts and Associate in Science degrees prepare students to transfer to a four-year institution and complete a bachelor’s degree and (2) Associate in Applied Science degrees prepare students to enter the workforce directly after completing their associate degree (https://www.noc.edu/academics/programs/degreeprograms/).
Among the Associate of Applied Science degree programs, several have a separate and competitive admission process, as well as greater potential for workforce opportunities with an associate degree such as Digital Media, Nursing, Process Technology, and Respiratory Therapy.
