J1 Go-Live Announcement

Northern Family,

We are pleased to announce that NOC is now live with our new online operating system for the College! Jenzabar One now supports key student services including: Academic Advising, Admissions, Student Financials, and Student Records. Along with JRM (student recruitment module), Net Partner/PowerFAIDS (financial aid student portal) and J1 Web, the JICS portal component marks the final stage of the Jenzabar One system implementation.

One of the most visible and mission-critical functions, class registration, became available to students this afternoon. Over 50 dedicated NOC employees have been working on this tremendous accomplishment. This team has transformed nearly two years of ERP planning and development into a reality for the College.

As with any new technology implementation, we anticipate a learning curve and some possible small glitches along the way. We appreciate your help identifying any issues that you might run into by sending your questions to: jenzabarone@noc.edu.

Here are some important updates as we begin using the new Jenzabar One functions available to faculty, staff, and students:

J1 Desktop (which replaces the POISE/PX) – Identified staff have been set up, completed training and are currently utilizing J1 Desktop for their daily work functions.

J1 Web – new web-based interface! https://j1web.noc.edu/J1Web/

Faculty will use this site to view/certify rosters, enter grades, and assist students with advisement.
Selected staff will use this site for course schedule preparation, student advising functions, and registration processes.

JICS (myNOC Portal) https://portal.noc.edu/ics Students will start using myNOC for Spring Term 2021 enrollment and registration. Students will be able to access the system from the myNOC tab on our main college website www.noc.edu. Please note that this is the same link used for the previous portal along with your assigned NOC Log In (username and password). We are also excited to share that the myNOC Mobile App is COMING SOON! Details will be shared when this product is rolled out.

Employees can start using the new JICS (myNOC Portal) https://portal.noc.edu/ics for Finance functions. Payroll and Benefits will Go-Live in January. In the interim, employees can still access the old portal https://oldportal.noc.edu/ics for paystub, W2 and Leave viewer.

JRM/J1 Integration
Our new recruiting system, JRM, will also be fully integrated into J1. JRM will also host our new college application and it will be fully integrated into our new J1 system. When applying to the college, students will answer an initial question indicating their reason for taking classes at NOC. Their response will gather the normal demographic information and then prompt specific questions related to their intent for taking classes at NOC. For the first time, all students, including international students, will be able to be recruited and then seamlessly apply to the college using one electronic application.

J1/JICS SUPPORT
As expected with this Go-Live, some may require support over these next few weeks as the team stabilizes the system. We anticipate a large volume of calls in the first few weeks and appreciate your patience as we transition to the new system.
