Students who are applying to the NOC RN program are required to take an Assessment Exam. The HESI A2 Admission Assessment Exam may be used for this purpose.
The HESI A2 exam is designed to assess the academic and personal readiness of prospective students. For NOC requirements, the HESI A2 will consist of six different exams: Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, Grammar, Math, Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary and General Knowledge. You will also be required to take the Learning Style and Personality Profile assessments. You will have 4 hours and 50 minutes to complete the exam.
For NOC’s RN application, the HESI A2 exam must have been taken within the last 3 years. A student may have one retake after a 3 month waiting period. The HESI A2 is a computerized exam with results received upon completion of the exam. Students with a grade of 75%-79% will be awarded 20 points and a grade of 80% or better will be awarded 25 points towards the RN application.
The total cost of the exam will be $56.00. Students will pay $46.00 online to HESI and a $10.00 administration fee to NOC the day of the exam. Students must contact the Testing Center to obtain a Payment ID Number from the Testing Coordinator in order to pay for the exam and instructions on creating your Evolve account. To create a Evolve account and to pay for the HESI A2 exam, go to https://evolve.elsevier.com.
Testing Centers will not have scheduled HESI dates until Nov. To schedule for your exam, go to www.noc.edu/noc.testing and click on the appropriate campus Register Blast link. To schedule a HESI outside Nov.-Feb., please contact by phone/email the appropriate campus.
A valid legible Photo ID is required to take the HESI A2 Exam.
