Upward Bound

Who are we?

We’re a free membership organization that helps you prepare for college by earning a great GPA and high ACT scores.

We have 62 members from Enid, Pioneer, and Waukomis High Schools.

There are currently 816 Upward Bound programs around the world.

We are in all 50 states, Washington, DC, the Federated States of Micronesia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and Palau. 

NOC Enid has hosted Upward Bound since 2007.

How do you join us?

You must have a minimum 2.50 GPA to join us.

Members must have completed the 8th grade and be between the ages of 13 and 19.

All students must be either from low-income families or be potential first-generation college students.

Upward Bound Applilcation

What's expected of me?

Keep a 2.5 or higher GPA.

Receive one hour of tutoring per week for each grade below a B.

Attend monthly ACT workshops.

Attend monthly Saturday Sessions.

Attend summer academy on the NOC campus.

Attend monthly academic advising.

Why should you join us?

We’ll help you get great grades.

Your ACT test scores will improve, which means more scholarship money for college.

We’ll tour Oklahoma colleges so you can see first-hand what it’s like to go there.

Graduated seniors will get up 2 free classes from NOC Enid the summer after you graduate from high school.

During the school year, we’ll  go to Thunder games, OKC Broadway shows, and lots more.
