Good time management and organizational skills are a must. Many business careers require students to be tech savvy and have good interpersonal skills.
Career Preparation
The Associate in Science degree in Business Administration consists of 60 credit hours designed to provide the student with the first two years of general requirements for transfer to a four-year institution. The Associate in Applied Science degree in Business Management provides basic coursework to allow a student to enter the workforce with an entry level management track position, with options in Accounting, Entrepreneurship and Hospitality Management. In addition to the general education requirements, Business students focus on Accounting, Introduction to Business, Business Technologies, Economics, Statistics, and recommended business electives such as Marketing, Management, programming classes, or Business internships to give students a wide variety of experiences.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, overall employment in business and financial occupations is projected to grow faster than the average for all occupations from 2023 to 2033. About 963,500 openings are projected each year, on average, in these occupations due to employment growth and the need to replace workers who leave the occupations permanently.
The median annual wage for this group was $79,050 in May 2023, which was higher than the median annual wage for all occupations of $48,060.
