NOC Enid planetarium show set for April 3

The Mackie Planetarium on the NOC Enid campus will present the next show on Thursday, April 3, at 7 p.m.

Planetarium director Fritz Osell will present the night sky over Enid and show prominent constellations and planets in the early evening sky.  He will also point out where Mars will be in the constellation Gemini with Jupiter being very prominent in Taurus.  Osell added that Mars and Jupiter will be visible in our early evening sky.  The great bear, Ursa Major, and the little bear Ursa Minor with the north star are very prominent in the northern sky.

The feature show will take planetarium visitors on a journey through the Milky Way galaxy.  There will be a show for children about the origin of the constellations Perseus and Andromeda before the main show.

The annual Good Friday show, the Via Dolorosa, will be presented at noon on Friday April 18.

There is no charge, but donations of non-perishable food items for Our Daily Bread will be accepted.
