The February planetarium show at the Mackie Planetarium on the Enid campus will be offered on Thursday, Feb. 1 at 7 p.m.
Planetarium Director Fritz Osell will show the night sky over Enid during winter and point out where interesting objects may be found in our evening sky.
Osell will also present a new full dome show for children about stars –The Little Star That Could.
“Our shows are now greatly enhanced by the implementation of our new and more powerful projection system,” Osell said. “Our feature show will take us on a trip through the universe and through time. We will also demonstrate to visitors how to gain access to remotely operated telescopes in the Canary Islands and in Chile.”
Public shows will now be on the first Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. throughout the year.
There is no charge for the show. Donations of non-perishable food items for Our Daily Bread are welcome but not required.
