NOC Enid Planetarium Show set for July 6

Mackie Planetarium

The Northern Oklahoma College Enid Mackie Planetarium July show is set for Thursday, July 6 at 7 p.m.

The July show will feature the night sky over Enid during the summer.  The show also highlights how Venus and Mars will appear in the evening sky in the constellation Leo.

A children’s show about the origin of the constellations from Greek mythology followed by a new show about time will be featured.

Planetarium shows are now greatly enhanced by the implementation of our new and more powerful projection system.  A demonstration will be provided to visitors on how to gain access to remotely operated telescopes in the Canary Islands and in Chile.

There is no charge for the show.  Donations of non-perishable food items for Our Daily Bread are welcome but not required.
