NOC awards leadership scholarships for Tonkawa campus

Northern Oklahoma College has awarded seven Presidential Leadership Scholarships and three State Regents Scholarships for NOC Tonkawa for the 2022-23 academic year.

Planning to attend NOC Tonkawa in Fall 2022 are Allison Green, Kingfisher; Autumn Leist, Ponca City; Cayla Hoch, Lawton; Ally Riddle, Ponca City; Raven Bruce, Wagoner; Jaci Johnson, Tonkawa; and Savanna Linton, Tonkawa.

Each student’s PLC scholarship in the amount of $28,000 for two years will be applied toward tuition, fees, books, on-campus resident housing and meal plan. Applicants must maintain at least a 3.25 grade-point average per semester and enroll in 12 credit hours each semester in an associate degree program.

Three students have been selected as a State Regents Academic Scholar, the highest honor given by Northern to students who have demonstrated academic leadership in their high school.

Those students include Gloria Reyes, Tonkawa; Austin Grosshardt, Blackwell; and Rylan Wright, Tulsa.

The State Regents Academic Scholarship, established by the state legislature and governor in 1988 and operated by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, offers a full tuition waiver plus $900 a semester to cover all major expenses for four years or eight semesters as long as the student attends an Oklahoma institution participating in the program.
