Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa hosted a College Fair Tuesday at the Foster-Piper Fieldhouse.
The college fair is organized through the Great Plains Association for College Admission Counseling (GPACA) which NOC is a member. NOC hosts this event annually and invites area high schools to campus to visit with over 30 different colleges present.
Schools included Perry, Woodland/Fairfax, Newkirk, Tonkawa and Blackwell. There were 200 students at this year’s fair.
NOC recruiters Blair Turney and Madison Green represented NOC at the event.
In 1966, Great Plains was formed with Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota and North Dakota. Texas formed its own affiliate (TACAC) in October of 1979. In the Spring of 1993, North Dakota and South Dakota formed their own affiliate, DACAC. GPACAC is now comprised of members and member institutions in Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma, as well as affiliate members who work with students in our tri-state region.
